Even though Canada has previously hosted two successful Olympic Games in 1976 in Montreal and in 1988 in Calgary, Canada has the distinction of being the only country in the history of the Olympic Games not to have won a gold medal. We are hoping with our cheer faces to give our Canadian athletes that small advantage they need to reach gold for the first time on Canadian soil and Taking things to a new level. This plan would not only help propel our Winter Games athletes to unprecedented performance levels, but also give them every edge at winning gold. You can ask any athlete what it feels like to have home field advantage. Along with our Canadian flag faces our athletes will not only hear you cheer but they will see you for miles.
